Security Tips
Protect your PayChip account and financial information
Important: PayChip will never ask for your password, PIN, or OTP via email, phone call, or SMS.
Account Security
Use Strong Passwords
Create a unique password with at least 8 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Avoid using easily guessable information like birthdays or names.
Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Add an extra layer of security by enabling 2FA. This requires a verification code from your mobile device in addition to your password when logging in from a new device.
Regularly Update Your PIN
Change your transaction PIN regularly and avoid using obvious combinations like "1234" or "0000". Never share your PIN with anyone, including PayChip support staff.
Safe Transactions
Verify Transaction Details
Always double-check recipient information before confirming any transaction. Verify the phone number, account number, or service provider details before proceeding.
Use Secure Networks
Avoid making transactions on public Wi-Fi networks. If you must use public Wi-Fi, consider using a virtual private network (VPN) to encrypt your connection.
Monitor Your Account
Regularly check your transaction history for any unauthorized activities. Enable transaction alerts to receive notifications for all account activities.
Phishing Awareness
Beware of Suspicious Emails
Be cautious of emails asking for your personal or financial information. PayChip will never ask for your password or PIN via email. Look for spelling errors, unofficial email addresses, or urgent requests.
Verify Caller Identity
If you receive a call claiming to be from PayChip, hang up and call back using the official customer service number on our website. Never share your OTP, PIN, or password over the phone.
Check Website URLs
Always verify that you're on the official PayChip website before logging in. Look for "https://" and the padlock icon in your browser's address bar. Bookmark our official website to avoid accessing fake sites.
